Cornerstone’s Individual Grief Counseling program enables individuals and families seeking support after the death of a loved one to schedule an appointment with one of Cornerstone’s experienced grief counselors to determine their individual counseling needs as well as their readiness for group support. Cornerstone’s counselors are compassionate, highly experienced grief counselors, who are here to walk with you and your family in your grief journey. They will listen, guide, and help you to find hope and healing amidst your pain.
Children and teens (ages 5 to 18) who have experienced the death of a loved one also qualify for bereavement services at Cornerstone of Hope. A parent or guardian must initiate contact with us and schedule an intake appointment. Cornerstone’s Children’s Program Coordinators will also meet with children at their school, if needed (exceptions based upon location/distance may apply). Upon request from a parent or guardian, Cornerstone’s children’s counselor will contact the school to set up a time to meet with the student.
Children ages 3 and 4 will be seen on a limited basis. Our approach with children of this age is to work closely with the parent /caregiver to help create boundaries and a supportive atmosphere at home that will nurture grieving toddlers.
Fees: Cornerstone asks those seeking individual counseling to pay a one time fee for services on a sliding fee scale, however, no individual/family is turned away because of an inability to pay.
