Hospices and hospitals have the daunting task of delivering the news of the passing of a loved one, whether anticipated or not, to family and friends of the deceased. In doing so, staff is often a source of support to those who have lost a loved one. As such, staff needs continual training on how to best support those who are grieving. Your organization can greatly serve the grieving by offering families a place to go for continued support. Grieving families need hope, education and support. Cornerstone of Hope can help you to offer the best of those services to grieving families through our Hospice/Hospital Partnership Program. Partnership benefits include:
- Monthly support/training meetings for hospice/hospital bereavement staff;
- Free attendance at monthly CEU programs;
- Free subscription to Bereavement Magazine and Cornerstone newsletter, which will be sent to your agency;
- Individual counseling/art therapy for the children, teens, adults and families you serve;
- Support groups and special events for families of the hospice patient; and
- The availability of Cornerstone clinical staff for consultation to the hospice/hospital team.
